Dr sudhakar shetty hublot watch stolen case

The ongoing ‘watch politics’ in the state turned murkier after former CM HD Kumaraswamy, on Friday, alleged that the luxury watch worn by CM Siddaramaiah was a stolen one.

Speaking at a press conference in Bengaluru on Friday, Kumaraswamy presented documents to support his theory.

The CM, on Thursday, had clarified that the watch was ‘second hand in nature’ and was ‘a gift to him by his long-time friend based in Dubai’.

According to Kumaraswamy, the luxury watch originally belonged to Dr Sudhakar Shetty, an NRI from Rest House Road. “The disputed watch, along with three other luxurious watches and ornaments, were stolen from Shetty’s apartment in July A complaint was also lodged with the Cubbon Park police then.”

Kumaraswamy released the FIR and said, “People close to Shetty showed me the similarities between the stolen watch and the one worn by the CM.

Only a detailed inquiry into the case would uncover the secret behind it.”
